All tires suffer wear or deterioration and at some point should be changed.

The pace at which they do depends on several factors, including their driving habits, the weather and the maintenance you make of the wheels.

When should they be changed?

 

Tires should be checked regularly, at least once a month. Check the following to determine if you should change the tires:

 

Indicators of tread wear: most tires have indicators of tread wear. They consist of rigid rubber bars that can only be seen in the tire when the depth of its tread has worn out and does not reach the safe driving limit, which is usually 1.6 mm.

 

Uneven wear patterns: you should also check the treads to see if they have a pattern on the wear that may indicate other problems in the tires or your vehicle.

 

Presence of lumps or blisters on the sidewall of the tire. These defects can cause a tire failure and endanger the safety of the occupants of the vehicle.
